As a BEST member, you can participate in many other events.
- Local events
These events are organized to develop and motivate our members. (motivation weekend, trainings, etc...)
- Trainshops (TS)
The goal of the Trainshop is to help students to develop through non formal education on specific topics such as leadership, fundraising, marketing, HR, etc.
- Workshops (WS)
Most of the work done in BEST is via online communication channels. In a workshop members can meet face to face and get a lot of practical work done on important projects, find solutions to controversial issues, get new ideas.
- Cultural Exchange (CE)
One of the main aims of BEST is to learn how different cultures work. A Cultural Exchange is a cooperation between two or three Local BEST Groups. The main idea behind this event is to experience first hand the culture and social life of other Local BEST Groups and their hometowns, being guided by people who know this city better than anyone else, the people who live there! Practically this means the groups visit each other for a week.
- Regional Meetings (RM)
The regional division in BEST is ment to ensure an easier communication between LBGs and the international level. BEST consists of 9 different regions. Regional Meetings, that occurs twice a year, are the events during which each LBG has the opportunity to meet for real the rest of the region!
So it's the occasion for everybody to work on subjects that are not easy to discuss at the european scale!
- General Meetings (PM & GA)
Every six months BEST organises a General Meeting, at these meetings members of all local groups meet to discuss and decide upon the future of the organisation. There are two different kinds of events. Presidents’ Meeting in the autumn where all presidents meet to evaluate the work done in the organisation during the first six months of the BEST year. In the spring delegates from the local groups meet again with delegates of the international teams of BEST for our General Assembly, this events hosts almost 250 people for around 8 days and is our highest decision making body.
