Courses are 7-14 day professional events abroad on a specific topic.

Best courses are an experience for life, where, beyond professional development, you can meet 20 other foreign students with similar interests. On our Instagram you can find numerous course reports!

For BME students, the price of the courses are a maximum of 48€, which includes the accomodation, the meals and local travel. You have to arrange the trip abroad yourself, but from there the local organizers will take care of everything. It may happen that for some cultural programs, e.g. visiting museums, sailing, bathing, you have to pay for yourself but the organizers also provide free alternatives in these cases.

Who can apply?

  • Any BME students with an active student status.
  • All students of any faculty and department.
  • There are no academic prerequisites, your grades don't matter. Participants are selected based on a letter of motivation.
  • You can participate in a maximum of 3 courses during your studies.

Application process

You can only apply during the course application period. To get notified about the application periods, subcribe to our mailing list or follow us on our social media pages. You can find the list of the current courses at best.eu.org/courses/list.jsp

In every application season we organise information nights, where you can receive help with your application. You can get informed about these dates on our mailing list or social media pages or look for our course responsible!

If you have found courses you like, you can apply in the following way:
  1. Register at best.eu.org
  2. Write your motivational letter for the course. When writing your motivation letter, be aware that it will be evaluated by students like you. You can find further tips regarding motivation letters here. It's important that ine one application season, you can apply to a maximum of 3 courses.
  3. In addition to writing the motivation letter, you also have to answer 3 questions related to the topic of the given course, one of which is sometimes more funny.
  4. In order for your application to be valid, you must validate yourself, as we can only send active BME students to the courses. For this, send the certificate of your student status or a picture of your student ID to the budapest@best-eu.org address, with the subject title "BEST course validation", your full name should also be included in the email.
  5. After you have been validated, wait patiently for the result of your application.
  6. If you have been accepted you have around 2 weeks to pay the deposit of 40€, we will contact you regarding this. If you participate in the course, and you don't cause any material damage there and you fill out the evaluation form after the course, you get your deposit back.
  7. You have to pay the course fee at the course location to the local organisers. They will send detailed information about this.
  8. After the course you have to fill out the evaluation form until the given deadline. You get your deposit back after this, of which we will also inform you.
